Obviously the Leaf vs. Manning debate has been overanalyzed ad nauseum, but something else that catches my attention about this draft is Robert Edwards. He was very productive before the ill-fated flag football mishap at the Pro Bowl where he shredded his knee. Had it never happened, could that have given NE the only thing missing throughout their dynasty years... continuity at the RB position? Could they have added another trophy or 2 if he had been around for them to direct their free agent dollars elsewhere?
