The New England Patriots select Darius Butler, CB, UConn

The Patriots could have gone a different direction here, but with Ellis Hobbs holding down one end of the field at CB, they needed another CB that could come in and take the other half. I thought DJ Moore here, but they both ran the same speed and Butler is nearly 3 inches taller. Size and speed win out.

St Louis Rams - Larry English - OLB - Northern Illinois

The Rams have a rather urgent need for a strongside OLB and with the top four gone English becomes the go-to guy.

Cleveland Browns - Hakeem Nicks - WR - NC

Nicks is a complete WR who has good size, good hands, great route running and will make the tough catch. With the Browns woes at WR and with trading Winslow they need to add playmakers to the offense. Nicks fits this description.

Sorry for the delay, Im back to work after the baby was born and I work second shift at a prison, so it takes some time to get online!

The Jacksonville Jaguars select Ron Brace, DT, Boston College

The Jags have not found a consistent threat to replace Marcus Stroud and with Brace, they get that piece of the puzzle.

Oakland selects Duke Robinson, OG, Oklahoma.

Robinson is a beast and he can come right in and start on that team. By adding Orakpo and Robinson, the Raiders are addressing both lines which is a must if they ever want to improve.

The Green Bay Packers select Phil Loadholt, OT, Oklahoma

The Packers add a huge body at tackle in Loadholt. The loss of Mark Tauscher to free agency makes OT a huge need and Loadholt could come in and take over at RT right away to earn his way to LT.

Per PM from Sgt John

San Francisco 49ers select Josh Freeman, QB, Kansas State

I think there is time to develop Freeman in SF with the run first attitude and the littany of bodies at QB.

New England Patriots select Darry Beckwith, ILB, LSU

New England has to get younger at LB and adding Beckwith and Sintim to the addition of Mayo last year gives the Pats a solid young corps. They dont need to start right away, but could get some very valuable minutes and earn some serious time to eventually take over. Beckwith is the best ILB available after Rey and James
