Niners Are Expected To Release WR Bryant Johnson and RB DeShaun Foster.

Local Papers are saying that WR Bryant Johnson and RB DeShaun Foster will be released soon.

If true it sounds like the Niners will draft a younger back to take some of the load off of Gore this year. Last years Rookie WR Josh Morgan will probably be seeing more action as a result.

Bryant Johnson has always been a bit of a mystery. With the Cards he was the #3wr for years. If Boldin or Fitz was out and he started he had great games only to become invisable again as a #3. This seemed like a good opportunity with the Niners but injuries and QB changes didn't help matters much last year.

Maybe. But watching him last year, I was disappointed. I thought he would be more of a big play WR, but doesn't have the explosiveness that I expected. Maybe it was due to the injuries but Bruce, even at his advanced age had a lot more big plays.

Not surprised at all that SF let him go..............
