-New kick off rule - basically close to what XFL had
- Hip drop tackle is banned - but this will be very hard to apply - I could see alot of flags while they work this out
- NFL trade deadline moved back one week
- 3rd challenge for coaches eased - they just need to have one successful challenge to get a third challenge
- enforcement of fouls on change of possession plays - During a play that results in a possession change, if fouls are committed by both teams, any major offensive fouls (like unnecessary roughness) that were committed before the possession change will now be enforced.
- Replay rule changes
1) replay official can correct "objectively" incorrect calls for intentional grounding and roughing the passer
2) replay review will be allowed "when there is clear and obvious visual evidence that the game clock expired before any snap."
3) ruling of passer down by contact or out of bounds before throwing a pass are now reviewable plays
- Designated to return player during playoffs - teams now have an unlimited amount of DTR transactions during the playoffs
- emergency QB - if the first and 2nd string QBs are injured or ejected - then the third designated emergency QB can be activated either from active 53 man roster OR from practice squad - gives teams more roster flexibility
