Kerry Rhodes from the Jets to the Cardinals

Jets trade Rhodes to the Cardinals for a 4th rounder and a 7th rounder. Utter steal in my opinion. Perfect damage control after losing Rolle and a scary complement to Adrian Wilson. Maybe the rumors of their demise are a bit premature?

Why would the Jets be willing to let him go so cheap? Different Jets fans are saying because he is soft. Any truth to this? I don't watch enough Jets football to know if this is true or just sour grapes after he is gone.

he used to be a very strong tackler, but seems to be losing a step . . . i still think he's a solid player especially with other talent around him.

He's only 27/28 still and upon taking over the Jets, Rex compared him favorably to Ed Reed.
I think he and Wilson will play off each other nicely. Trying to think of a potentially better safety tandem in the league and I'm having a hard time doing so..

They are supposedly looking at Joey Porter now also.

Joey Porter will visit the Cardinals on Thursday, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Porter knows Arizona head coach Ken Whisenhunt from their days together in Pittsburgh. Whisenhunt and Clark Haggans (an Arizona linebacker and one of Porter's former NFL and college teammates) reportedly met with Porter over the weekend.

A bit of a downgrade sure, but at least they are making moves and might not drop off the map.

Dansby was a tackling machine while Porter is a pass-rush specialist. Dissimilar players, but at least it helps stop the bleeding and shows the fan base they're not punting the season for money.
