This is the eighth issue Britt has had with law enforcement since January of 2010. The other instances involved a bar fight, lying about paying a bail bond, false statements on a driver's license application, being in a car chase, resisting arrest, driving without a license and having outstanding traffic warrants. Britt had three problems last offseason but ultimately wasn't punished because they occurred during the NFL lockout. Last August, the NFL released a statement following their decision not to suspend Britt after a tumultuous offseason saying in part "The commissioner restated his expectation that Britt will be responsible for his actions going forward and noted that future incidents will lead to appropriate discipline," per NFL spokesman Greg Aiello.
