The KC Chiefs released QB Damon Huard, LB Donnie Edwards and CB Patrick Surtain.
QB Huard had a season ending thumb injury week 5 and wasn't in the mix anymore. He probably will get work as a clipboard holder or maybe as the guy that holds the Gatorade for the guy that holds the clipboard.
LB Donnie Edwards and CB Patrick Surtain were part of KCs plan a couple of years ago to get some talented players who were a little too long in the tooth and pay them a little too much for their age. The good news here is that cutting these two frees up about $10 million cap dollars.
