Today the Jets released LB Calvin Pace, S Eric Smith OT Jason Smith and waived TE Josh Baker. This won't likely be the end of it for the talent poor NY football team. Today's multiple moves opened up roughly $24M dollars in salary cap space.

The Jets were set to meet Thursday with ILB Bart Scott at the Combine but said the heck with it and released him a few minutes ago. The cost cutting measure saves an additional $8M in cap space over the $24M they cleared away earlier today. Oh I'm glad I'm not a NYJ.

Sounds like a complete rebuilding job, not a bad idea considering how bad things got.

maybe they need to really cut the fat (or maybe now, skin...) and dump the foot fetishist...

We have mangold and dabrickashaw. Revis is a free agent next offseason so if we need to trade him and get back maximum value.

The sadsack NY Jets are now $5.7 million under the cap and only have 10 starters under contract for 2013. It's a mighty dismal situation for the team with possibly the least talent in the league. On top of that their stuck with Sanchez. You can look for Tebow to be dropped after the Combine when no one shows an interest in trading for him. Other then that more cuts are coming. Where have you gone Broadwy Joe?
