FA Signing: Derrick Mason signs with Jets

(RotoWire) Mason has agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Jets, Carroll County Times writer Aaron Wilson reports. Analysis: It's a nice catch for the Jets, who needed a new chain mover after cutting Jerricho Cotchery. Mason's fantasy value is considerably lower with the Jets than it would have been with the Ravens, though. He might not be worth drafting in most cases outside of PPR leagues, as Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress and Dustin Keller will steal lots of catches.

The Jets seem to be downgrading themselves. They'll be lucky to make it to the playoffs at this point, never mind the AFC Championship.

i'm not so sure mason wouldn't be used more than burress since they are a running team w/ a short to mid passing range, but you never know . . .

Sanchez is terrible..it doesn't matter who the WRs are, he won't be able to hit them.

Sanchez will use mason as a possession receiver as he will be wr3 in ppr leagues imo
