Defense Dominates the Night as South Carolina wins

Under the guidance of Steve Spurrier, we have witnessed some of the greatest offensive explosions in the SEC.

This night the defense ruled the roost.

South Carolina rode a suffocating defense which held North Carolina State to a humbling 133 total yards, including a shameful 1.9 yards a carry, as the Gamecocks opened the season with a 7-3 road win over the Wolfpack.

North Carolina State looked to open up the offense under Sophomore QB Russell Wilson, but it was not to be. Wilson threw for 74 yards on the night completing just over 50% of his passes.

South Carolina's QB Roulette wheel landed on Stephen Garcia, who didnt fair much better, going 148 yards and an interception.

In a game that could have gone either way, South Carolina finally found a way to win a close one, giving the team something to take forward the rest of the season.

Old Jackass...
NCST only had 3 good offense drives....penalties killed them all.
NCST Defense kept this game close.
South Carolina's only score was off a NCST turnover deep in Wolfpack territory.
SEC Officials missed 3 obvious South Carolina Defensive Penalties....one was a Horse collar and the Line Judge was looking right at it...contacts must have fell out on the play.

Overall....both teams were not in sync at all......
