Broncos WR Brandon Marshall has hip surgery. Although it is not supposed to be a major procedure he is not expected to be ready until training camp. The hip was bothering him all last year according to reports and being healthy is a good thing. This off season a lot of players have waited months to get surgical procedures done after the season is over.

It gives him an excuse to miss the "voluntary" workouts and still be there for training camp. Just a hunch. :)

It also allows for the body to heal from the season and to re-evaluate the injury to see if simple time would suffice. Just curious, how many surgeries has Marshal had. I remember his tv slicing him up and this one for 2, are there more? could become a factor if he has to keep going under the knife.

No since in attending minicamps now anyway. They don't have a quarterback to throw the ball to him. ;)
