Broncos continue to thin the herd at rb: Pittman and Bell to enter FA

It appears that Coach Doogie likes what he sees in Peyton Hillis but will let Pittman and Bell walk in free agency. He doesn't see Hillis as the fulltime solution adding he wanted a guy who can break big gains (not Hillis) and a guy to move the chains (Hillis). Pittman mentioned he would like to come back to Denver and who could blame him. When healthy Pittman was the Broncos best all around runningback but at his age isn't to be considered a 3 down, 20 carry back anymore.

Other players being allowed to walk are Ebenezer Ekuban, safety Marlon McCree, cornerback Karl Paymah, linebacker Nate Webster, receivers Darrell Jackson and Edell Shepherd and tight end Jeb Putzier.

Torrain may only be on the roster because he is still hurt. I've heard more than once the Donks are looking to get that other guy in free agency.
Who? Ward? Taylor?

Aren't they in a good spot to take a rb in the first round...a Moreno or Wells?

Denver would burn to the ground if this new administration took a runningback with the 12th pick in the first round. The Donko defense is just flat crap. And now they want to shift defensive schemes requiring a defensive tackle to line up at nose which they ain't got on roster. If they don't go defense with the first two picks they are either extreme talent scouting geniouses of borderline retarded.

The current scenario is if Raji isn't there they go linebacker or corner with the first pick.

Sorry, didn't answer your free agent question. Ward was eliminated at this point from consideration due to his demanded $4m price. If he waffles and goes with a one year deal or takes less he might get another look. There will be more cap casualties in the coming days or maybe a draft day trade for a lesser known backup who could step up into the system. But I agree with you, there isn't much out there in the FA market.

Torain has the tools to be a pretty good back, the Bronco's need to get him a handcuff relief runner being the fact that his short lived career has been marred by injuries. Dont know why they wouldnt dump Torain now if not willing to give him another go as there feature back.
