What sticks out about this game:
North Texas aerial attack has been known to throw up 450 yards a game, and a bazillion turnovers. Riley Dodge, who was an original Texas commit who changed his mind to play for his dad, was extremely efficient with the football, completing nearly 70% of his passes.
Dodge also made plays with his legs, something Dodge ball has been missing. The more efficient passing game opened up holes for RB Cam Montgomery, who averaged 8.7 yards per carry on the way to 148 yards on the ground.
All total North Texas piled up 296 yards rushing on 51 carries, going for nearly 6 a tote. Does this mean North Texas will win the Sun Belt? Nope, but it is a huge step in the right direction for the boys from Denton.
