Who are the coaches on the hot seat so far?
Ratings:
Safe - no changes expected
getting warm - will survive but will be full hot seat next year
Smoke billowing - get ready to see a change soon - maybe off season
Fire - He is a goner

AFC-East
Buffalo
- Sean McDermott - I still think he is safe for now
Miami - Mike McDaniel is safe
NY Jets - Robert Saleh - I think Rodgers injury protects him this year
New England - Bill Belichick - I think its time for Bill to retire
AFC - North
Pittsburgh
- Mike Tomlin - safe and what a career
Baltimore - John Harbaugh - safe, but he isn't winning another superbowl, not with Lamar at the helm. So he may not be totally safe
Cincinnati - Zac Taylor - safe, but this is his first really bad year
Cleveland - Kevin Stefanski - I am smelling some smoke here.
AFC - South
Jacksonville
- Doug Pederson - safe
Indianapolis - Shane Steichen - safe if for no other reason than he is new
Houston - DeMeco Ryans - safe
Tennessee - Mike Vrabel - getting a bit warm on the seat here IMO
AFC - West
Kansas City
- Andy Reid - safe
LA Chargers - Brandon Staley - if he doesn't go very, very far this year in the playoffs I think he is a goner
Las Vegas - Josh McDaniels - smelling smoke here as well, his team is just not performing
Denver - Sean Payton - safe for now
NFC - East
Philadelphia
- Nick Sirianni - safe
Dallas - Mike McCarthy - getting warm, no superbowl, no championship game, he is a goner IMO.
Washington - Ron Rivera - unfortunately, low success and new owner means he is probably gone at end of season. Lets say smokey for now
NY Giants - Brian Daboll - safe for now, but Daniel Jones can be a career ender
NFC - North
Detroit
- Dan Campbell - safe
Green Bay - Matt LaFleur - safe for now
Chicago - Matt Eberflus - not liking this situation, he needs a strong second half, getting warm here.
Minnesota - Kevin O'Connell - warm here as well, new QB may mean new HC to groom said QB
NFC - South
Tampa Bay
- Todd Bowles - he is safe for now, pulling rabbits out of his hat...
Atlanta - Arthur Smith - safe for now
New Orleans - Dennis Allen - getting warm here....
Carolina - Frank Reich - safe but new QB could be his ending here
NFC - West
San Francisco
- Kyle Shanahan - safe
Seattle - Pete Carroll - safe
LA Rams - Sean McVay - just got new deal so safe
Arizona - Jonathan Gannon - safe since he is new, and team is feisty.

I think if the Patriots can get a high pick in this draft, especially Caleb Williams I'd give Bill one more year at least. Was a bit arrogant last year with the Matt Patricia and Joe Judge debacle. But Mack Jones is also showing that it wasn't all the coaching. Patriots have drafted really poorly so I'd at least push for a personnel guy if Bill stays.

I know it's Peyton's first year in Denver but for being a genius he isn't doing all that well. And it doesn't feel like Russ is playing all that bad. The Broncos defense is terrible.the running game is poor. the receivers, Jeudy and Sutton, are a bit overrated. Russ was terrible last year, but he has been competent this year.

I am pretty damn sure Chargers will be looking for a new HC after this season. Staley is awful.

Agree that Staley isn’t a good coach but man, Herbert missed some easy throws last night that would have been huge plays. Had Allen open twice down the field with nobody near him. 40 yard plus and possible TDs. Airmailed both throws. Allen is like 7-11. Always open. Chargers put up 35 last night if Herbert is on his game.

Expected the Cowboys to blow that game, but Chargers man they just have this perfected. They feel like the Cowboys AFC clone. Coach that can't manage the clock. Quarterbacks with big contracts but never quite get it done. Lots of big flashy plays but neither makes clutch plays. Bad penalties. Turnovers at the worst possible times.

If anything the sweat trade kinda smells like they may keep him. Typical Bears. Should be tanking, makes defense better for a coach who should have never been hired and now won’t get fired, screw chances of top 2 picks. Oh and clay pool trade Massively flops. Also that’s fine. Cool.

Sweat, 27, is signing a four-year extension worth $98 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Sweat's new deal includes $72 million in guarantees (roughly $62 million guaranteed at signing), is front-loaded and he will earn about $56 million by the end of 2025, a source told ESPN's Dan Graziano.

I am willing to bet money now....

NFC -
Chicago, Washington, Tampa Bay, Atlanta will have HC openings
Dallas if they don't win a playoff game or make the NFC finals also will

AFC -
Chargers, Raiders, Patriots I think make a change
I think Buffalo now is also on the hot seat.

Rumors flying that Belichick will be fired or quit at end of season, and the location of team he will go to next year is already agreed to- which of course is against the rules....

Potential locations listed are Chargers, Bears and Cowboys

Bears could have picks 1 and 2 so that would be intriguing. Cowboys have the pieces in place now. Chargers seem the least likely although they have the best QB.

Bears are definately an option, if he is confident in Fields. I think Dallas is the obvious play, IF he can live with Owner and his constant meddling.

Tomlin has to gotta go. It's time. These last 2 losses may be the worst in Steelers recent history. No Canada to blame anymore.

They won't fire him, but they should.

May be time for him to retire for a few years, then come back
