Torry Holt's a $10.205 million salary cap number in 2009.

No way the Rams can restructure the contract. Ive read if they cut or trade Holt, only $2.2 million will be left in "dead money." I also read the Rams aren't in great cap condition and have several key players on defense to re-sign. Signs point to exit stage left for Holt IMO.

Holt is not the Holt of old. His knees are a mess. He might have a few years left..but not as a #1.

I can't see any team giving Holt big money. He would have to go somewhere, or resign after being cut by the Rams, but as a role player.

I think he could be a very nice weapon as a #3 receiver, but not sure he would want to accept that role.

id certainly happily take him on the vikings. he and berrian would be a pretty solid pair if they had a real QB.
