Herman Johnson

Offensive Guard - LSU

  • Height - 6'7"
  • Weight - 386
  • Projected 40 Time - 5.45

Draft Projection - 2nd Round

NFL Impact: You may not realize it, but everyone who has ever used the terms "monster" or "beast," were referring to Herman Johnson. This guy is freakishly huge. When he was a freshman, he was over 400lbs. His weight has toned down, but his power hasn't. His arms are very long, his hands are very big and if he gets them on a defender, they're screwed. One of the best run blocking guards you'll find, Herman will find the best fit on a run first NFL team. His set back is that he's not fast, at all. Because of this he doesn't make it to the secondary well. This will likely be the cause of him dropping in the draft at all. Johnson will be passed by teams who's offense requires quicker, more agile offensive lineman. With that said, Herman is a jewel. It is very rare that anyone will see many football players with the size and strength that he possesses.

So where do you think Johnson will land? How successful will he be in the NFL?

I don't give a damn if he runs the 40 in 5 1/2 minutes. You can work on the first step, thats the job of your NFL OL coach.

Just IMAGINE for a moment this guy next to a Joe Thomas or a Jake Long.
