Giants promote Bill Sheridan to DC

Sheridan is the former LB coach who obviously did a nice job at that position putting together that great front 7 that terrorized the Patriots in last year's Super Bowl and the games leading up to it. He looks like a great hire to replace the departed Steve Spagnuolo.

He has alot of talent to work with on that roster, and will be getting back a monster next season that the Giants didn't have this year.

Success will depend not on the linebackers coach that replaces him, but the direction the Giants offense takes next season. This team crumbled without Plaxico Burress on offense and a season full of short offensive drives can make a defense look much different.
