As a 49er loyal I agree whole heartedly with this. I would rather develop a QB that's going to be good for us in the long run rather than pick up someone just to do well for onee season. Especially since the NFC-West seems like it's going to be super weak this season and we're probably going...

I think Carr is gonna make a great backup to Smith. I'm gonna go ahead and agree, I think Smith is turning into what we wanted when we drafted him. Personally, I blame his shitty seasons on Mike Nolan and having a different OC every year.

As a member of the 49er Empire myself, I agree with you on this. Not saying I wouldn't like McNabb, but I think Smith being under the same OC for a little while is exactly what he needs. I just hope McNabb doesn't end up a Card, would hate to have to see him throwing to Fitz twice a year lol...
