Wisconsin Hammers UNLV

UNLV came into Camp Randall just hoping to keep it close. Wisconsin showed it will remain a power in the Big Ten this season.

The Badgers Monte Ball rolled up 131 total yards and 4 TDs, and RB John White grabbed 104 more and a score of his own as the Badgers crushed the Rebels 51-17 on opening night.

The Badgers replace several starters from a powerful offensive line last year, but had no trouble gashing UNLV for 241 yards and a great 6.3 yards per carry.

The Badgers Defense was in on the act too, sacking UNLV passers 3 times and giving up a couple garbage time TDs after Wisconsin had gone up 51-3 midway through the 3rd quarter.

Wisconsin (1-0, 0-0 B10) moves on to face Oregon State in a September 10th contest.

UNLV (0-1, 0-0 MWC) takes on Washington State September 10th.

I have not heard a single thing about the UNLV football team on campus this year. Hell I have not seen a single UNLV football related shirt... not much excitement about UNLV at UNLV.
