So the Govenor signed the bill to have some tax monies go to a new Football stadium in Las Vegas. By all reports Davis is now working NFL owners to get them to sign off on the move.

I honestly can't wait to see LAS VEGAS RAIDERS on an NFL caption :)

My thoughts exactly!

I really hate it when teams move. It's taken 20 years to get used to Indianapolis Colts and St. Louis Rams never DID work for me.

Even L.A. Raiders sucked....

But Las Vegas Raiders.... It's like they were always meant to be there.

By all reports NE and Dallas are ready to support move of Raiders to Vegas!! This could be huge as those two have alot of sway in the owenrship groups.

Also, San Diego's deadline to take the LA deal with Rams has been extended to the 17th of this month. Rumors flying SD is making some last minute pitches to get the team to stay.

They won't get a team if they don't provide a stadium. They continue over and over again to refuse to come up with a plan to build one thus bye-bye team. New stadiums mean big bucks.

There is the one group that Ronnie Lott is involved with, that is working to get a new stadium built. If that happens, it could end up with a team, as the Las Vegas deal hit a snag with the one supporter in Las Vegas pulling out.

Why don't they just move to LA. Have 3 teams in LA. They can't seem to be bothered to show up for one team so let's give them two more.

Part of the deal with the Rams owner, he agreed he would build for one more team other than his own, but he owns the market as it were. Pretty sure that language is in the deal somewhere

The NFL has approved the Raiders' relocation to Las Vegas.

Shameful. The tally was 31-1, with only Dolphins owner Stephen Ross voting no. The NFL has taken to declaring "football is family," but what it really is is money. The Bay Area is one of the richest economic zones in all of human history, but Raiders owner Mark Davis is the poorest owner in the NFL. Since he apparently couldn't finance a stadium in Oakland and the local authorities wouldn't provide him corporate welfare, he's uprooted for Las Vegas, where a sports-desperate area and casino magnates will foot the bill. It's the NFL's third relocation in 15 months. Any time a team moves is a dark day for its league. Today is no different for the NFL. The Raiders will remain in Oakland for 2017 — and supposedly 2018 — with uncertain plans for 2019. 2020 is their estimated arrival in Vegas.

Sad times for fans in the NFL. The greedy NFL strikes again. Poor California can't keep a team, any team in it's same location of than the once proud 49ers. Once again I'll say I am happy I don't live there.

I find I can live with Oakland's suffering with no issues. This is the BIG time. They had multiple chances to step up and do something in the way of a new stadium. The local area chose not to fund a stadium in multiple votes. So don't cry to me now that the team has moved.

Should Taxes pay for stadiums, no. But that is how the game is played. I still laugh at the rediculous deal Cincinnati gave the Bengals, it was stupid then, and they did it anyway, and have done nothing but gripe about it.

If you want pro football in your area, you have to pay the bill. They chose not to, and they got someone who will.

Get over it Oakland.

WTF?

Poor California??? I am pretty sure they just got one team handed to them on a silver platter, and kept two others in the NFL in San Fran and San Diego.

:D Once California leaves the USA will those teams relocate in the states or simply be the NFL's long dreamed of expansion to another country?

Mark Davis is really raking the fans over the coals before he leaves town too. Stated today that he hopes the fans stay with them, and that he really wants to bring a championship to Oak.

Meanwhile...he hiked the prices on all of the season ticket holders.

Sounds more like he doesn't want to deal with huge revenue drops before they leave for greener pastures.
