FB Moran Norris has reportedly agreed to terms with San Francisco on a three-year contract, the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Norris was dropped by the Niners in Training camp last year. He ended up on the Lions and then was released from there. Norris was the blocking FB for Frank Gore the year he set the franchise record for rushing yards. Last year the former coaching staff thought they really didn't need a blocking FB and dropped Norris. It appears Singletary and Company have decided that a blocking FB for Gore is a good thing and commited for a three year contract to give Gore his former lead blocker back.

Coming at you
While not exactly exciting news for us Niner fans, glad to see it. Morris is a hard nosed blocker and I thought it was a mistake when they let him go last year, especially since Martz didn't exactly involve the fullback in the offense anyway.........

Welcome back Moran. Niner fans AND Gore owners are :pickle:

A couple of solid Free Agent moves. That is always part of a good offseason. I always have thought that you need a combo of free agent moves and a good draft to make a real offseason impact.
