Adam Schefter reports O.J. Howard is out two-to-four weeks with a sprained MCL. They are on bye week 5 so maybe he only misses one week of action?

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell is allegedly planning to report to the team at the start of week 7 which is the Steelers bye week presumably to get in shape and be ready for week 8

Could a deal already be in place contingent on them getting Bell to report and sign his tender? Who will pay the Steeler's price for a 10 week rental?

Last report I saw stated Steelers wanted a 2nd round pick AND a player. I don't know anyone who would meet that price if it was real. Unless there is a team that is close and needs the Rb help. I have heard the Bills and Jets, but neither is close enough to warrant that type of deal

Heard the Jags but that doesn't make a lot of sense unless they are ready to shut down Fournette for an extended period. Bills and Jets would really be stupid on their part as they haven't a chance of sniffing the playoffs. If it happens it has to be a team with the cap room and are playoff bound that is willing to rent the RB 1 for the run to the Super Bowl.

So great story on Bell at ESPN.com.
Per Schefter the main issue here is the Steelers have told Bell they will transition tag him next year ,which will allow other teams to negotiate and try to get him but also allows Steelers to maintain match control. Also they are contending on what that tag price will be - Steelers say it will be rated vs. games PLAYED, while Agent and Bell say it should be for whole year. What a mess. Steelers are still looking at trades for Bell, regardless of him saying he wants to remain with team.

Okay lets do some injury updates:
Leonard Fournette - same injury- tightness not pull per say - hamstring - is week to week and may miss another week or two
Gronk - ankle injury - no data on what injury is, or which ankle - day to day - supposedly could have played if needed.
T.Y. Hilton - hamstring strain - week to week - very doubtful for this week, may miss more time after that
Will Fuller - hamstring strain - aggravated the hamstring he had issues with in pre-season - no time table
Earl Thomas - broken bone lower leg - out for season
Joe Mixon - still listed as iffy, supposedly he worked out before last weeks game, but was still not used - HC is saying wait and see
Devonta Freeman - knee contusion - probable for next week
Chris Carson - hip injury - no definition on what it is - did not play this week, and is still not in practice
Marlon Mack - hamstring strain - was supposedly getting better, but now team pulled him down and moved him to less strenuous healing - so doubtful for this week
Darren Sproles, Corey Clement - Sproles still iffy with hamstring - was practicing but has been out for weeks and probably needs conditioning work, Clements has an abdominal strain and iffy this week
Rex Burkhead - still no real clarity - may have major neck issue - spinal stenosis - which could be career ending, or may just be two cocussions back to back. Not really expecting him back this year
Larry Fitzgerald - is fighting a major hamstring strain - and is NO WHERE NEAR 100% but is trying to play through it - some talk of resting him to help him out

Cobb is out. Adams will practice tomorrow. Packers are hopeful that Allison clears protocol.

Gio is unlikely.
