As I remember they were going to get Welker in FA and would have owed the Fish an early draft choice. Pats and Fish decided to work a trade instead of having him go as a free agent. The story is old and fuzzy but I understand that long time Fish fans have always felt like they owed the Pats one for the Welker loss. At the time Welker was not much known as a good receiver but was being used mainly as a return guy. Pats got him and they made history together.

SF signs Weston Richburg...................

Not exciting but another season of Kilgore at center was not to enticing. Sign Sitton or draft a guard with their 2nd rounder hopefully.

Fusco played pretty well last year, Tomlinson is still there and 2016 #1 pick Garnett is coming back from "reshaping his body" to play in the zone blocking system. If one of those 3 pan out and they get another guard, the OL will actually be a strength.

Important not to get Jimmy G killed.................
