With the offseason in full swing, our Rumor Mill usually fills up with two things: injuries and arrests/suspension. Now, it's a long offseason, but we might have a winner in the latter category.
The Boston Globe reports that Boston College defensive tackle Jaryd Rudolph has been charged with illegally audio taping a sexual encounter, which reportedly took place between a fellow player and a female graduate student in a campus unit the two football players shared.
According to the report, Rudolph recorded the "encounter" on Feb. 15 with his cellphone and shared it with at least one member of the football team, violating the state's privacy and eavesdropping law. The female student filed a complaint with campus police and Rudolph has been suspended from the football team. Additionally, the DT has been placed on university probation and will undergo educational training and counseling.
A junior who has seen sparse playing time, Rudolph pleaded not guilty at his arraignment
