Re: Heat vs Thunder - 2012 NBA Finals

again... haters like me?? where do you get that? the heat jumped on the thunder and westbrook shat himself. Lebron's off the glass shot late in the fourth was sick. And yeah, i did in fact say it was the early lead and brian westbrook, and not the officiating, even if the officiating was terrible... in game 1 and game 2, and definitely could have cost the thunder game 2. If the officiating doesn't make you mad, it should. The game is supposed to have rules, and they're by and large very clear. Lebron has a lot of non calls that should be called every single game. Wade will take a dive if you breathe on him. he's a total bitch ass flopper. that has absolutely nothing to do with lebron. What cracks me up is you clearly are in the heat corner, which i guess isn't all that surprising, why not fair weather become a fan of a front runner. I think this is going to be one of the better finals all time, and i think we will see the same matchup again in the future. Not liking someone's ignorance, immaturity, and sense of entitlement is not "haterade" - let's remember the circus decision, the celebration, and the guy who mocked average Americans who have regular jobs... the guy who makes the wait staff at restaurants cut his spaghetti for him... yeah, he's definitely a jerk, and yeah, he's the most talented basketball player ever... i don't see how that makes me a hater

You just made your stance on him quite clear.....your a James hater, just own it, no big deal, it's a popular "front running" stance these days.

Kinda sums it up for me, if you don't call that being a hater not sure what it. And you may feel justified in your feelings, but that doesn't make you less of a hater ;)

What is completely ignorant is this comment right here:
What cracks me up is you clearly are in the heat corner, which i guess isn't all that surprising, why not fair weather become a fan of a front runner.
First you are right, I am a fan of LeBron, always have been and always will be. What is also correct is you are just as clearly in the Thunder corner. So I am not sure what either has to do with the mass amount of whining and excuses you have come up with since late in the Boston series. The last post is the first I have seen any credit at all given to the Heat or Lebron.....

But let's break down the fair weather fan statement.....exactly what has made me a fair weather fan or a fan of a front runner? I have followed LeBron since he came onto the scene as a high schooler. Product of Ohio then when to the Ohio team. I became a fan. He leaves for Miami and I did what was wildly unpopular.......I followed the only reason I followed the Cavs, LeBron James! I was a fan of James, not the Cavs. I had no issue with his decision and laugh that people still get all butt puckered about him leaving Cleveland. Could he have done it better? Sure, but it has been blown so far out of proportion at this point it's comical. I have stayed a fan of what I became a fan of, LeBron James, I didn't jump off his bandwagon just because it was the "popular" thing to do.....So bash LeBron, break out the haterade, not like him (don't think he's losing sleep if you think he's a jerk).....but before you start tossing out ignorant claims, you may want to know something about what you are trying to speak of.....

Miami made themselves hatable when they did the celebration. They will be hated by all fans in the same way baseball fans hate the Yankees. Miller if you don't think that Miami is getting more favorable calls then that's your option. In your opinion do u feel Durant was fouled on the baseline jumper? Do u feel lebron would have gotten the call? I have grown up a Knicks fan and hates Reggie getting bs calls and Michael getting superstar calls. IMO they are a reality and it makes almost impossibly talented athletes even more difficult to stop.

what's really ignorant is not knowing the difference between your and you're :)... and that's basically what i suspected... ohio pretty much blows in general and when the only good thing that came out of it jumped ship you were all too happy to follow him away from the abysmal chasm that is cleveland. It's cool, you're a fair weather fan, own that. If Dalton leaves the bengals cuz they will never win will you follow him as well? As for being a hater... i must be a very active one cuz i would root against the lakers, celtics, yankees, red wings, or any other perennially winning non chicago team... I was a huge Jordan fan, despite his record of extreme dickotry... but i sure as **** didn't follow him to the wizards or bobcats. that guy's an asshole and whatever befalls him at this point so be it.

Never have been a Cleveland fan, Cleveland is not claimed by Ohio....so there your right, I felt dirty following Cleveland when he was here. And so you really need to start tossing around petty insults about states since you can't make your point other ways?? You're (see, if you want me not to be lazy, I can do it, choose not too b/c it's quicker the other way ;) ) better than that....

It's cool, you're a fair weather fan, own that. If Dalton leaves the bengals cuz they will never win will you follow him as well?
Again, speak of what you know, and try to at least use some common sense! I AM A BENGALS FAN.....HOW IN THE HELL CAN YOU CALL ANYONE WHO HAS SUFFERED THIS **** FAIR WEATHER ;) Nuff said there. If the NBA had a Cincy team, I'd have a team to call my own, they don't, so I follow players and do so loyally.

As for being a hater... i must be a very active one cuz i would root against the lakers, celtics, yankees, red wings, or any other perennially winning non chicago team
See, now you are owning it, not a bad thing. I have hater in me as well. I hate on the Lakers, Celtics, Yankees, Michigan, Pittsburgh and many others. I own it. Just don't act like your not bringing out the haterade towards LeBron, it's too obvious in your posting. Nothing against it, it is what it is and it makes for good back and forth retorts like this ;)
... I was a huge Jordan fan, despite his record of extreme dickotry... but i sure as **** didn't follow him to the wizards or bobcats. that guy's an asshole and whatever befalls him at this point so be it.
See, here's my take here. You really was not as much of a huge Jordan fan as you were a huge Chicago fan. You have turned on him as he passed on. Just like the Clevand fans have. After what he did for your city and your team, I can't understand why, but that's your feelings not mine and I'm sure as hell not going to tell you how to feel. I grew up in the height of Jordan. Like many in my area, since we didn't have a NBA team, I followed Jordan. He is still my favorite NBA player of all time (sorry LeBron, you'll never be Jordan) and just like LeBron, I did hope he did well where ever he went as a player. Owner is another story as I just don't see the point cheering for owners...but my ties to a city never got involved b/c I don't have one in that sport. You are different, Chicago through and through, of course your going to side with the team, you should.

Anyways, I think we covered this from every angle possible and the horse has been beaten to death. Been fun, and let's get back to this series since one thing we have agreed on is that it's going to be a great one!

What do you expect to see in game 3?

More bad calls going the Heat's way. ROFLOL! Sorry, I couldn't help myself. Really, I apologise.

Re: Heat vs Thunder - 2012 NBA Finals

My meatball homer loyalist tendencies don't really allow me to follow players (except maybe drew brees) so anyone who deviates from a team to a player is somewhat perceived fair weather... And you should rightly feel dirty following a cleveland team... you may want to visit the clinic asap. I do expect more heat calls and wade floppery... but am all for a well called game... i still think battier cools off... couldn't believe that ridiculous bank... and harden is still a factor... hopefully westbrook can be reined in a bit and not play like a crackhead right off the bat, that'll be up to him and the coach - which actually brings me to another thing i was thinking of during the games...how could such a great finals and two great teams have such average coaching? its almost as if in this case the chess match has been abandoned... and i feel that this may be why both games went so similarly. We aren't seeing too much variance in defensive scheme or offensive for that matter... and in fact I'm not entirely convinced either team is playing offensive schemes very often... Perhaps just two super talented teams slugging it out - kinda reminds me of a good featherweight brawl. I think if either coach can gain a strategic edge at some point it could make all the difference. I just don't really see it happening which is fine cuz these have been entertaining as hell thus far.

When you don't have a home team to follow you have to find something else, I just decided to adobt favorite players and remain fanatically loyal in stead of a team ;)

And you should rightly feel dirty following a cleveland team... you may want to visit the clinic asap.
lmao, it was tough to do.

I do expect more heat calls and wade floppery...
Wade flops, but watch Harden, he's right there with him in that skill set.

i still think battier cools off... couldn't believe that ridiculous bank...
Expecting it, just hope someone else steps up by the time he does.

hopefully westbrook can be reined in a bit and not play like a crackhead right off the bat, that'll be up to him and the coach
That's his game, when he's on they arer unstoppable, when he's not and he gunning from all over with blanks it looks ugly.

which actually brings me to another thing i was thinking of during the games...how could such a great finals and two great teams have such average coaching? its almost as if in this case the chess match has been abandoned... and i feel that this may be why both games went so similarly. Well said, I was thinking the same thing last game when they were showing the two coaches. Neither stands out at all.

Sorry Duece, missed your response to me. I have no issue with people hating anyone, part of what makes sports great.....just own the haterade.

In your opinion do u feel Durant was fouled on the baseline jumper?
Call was close. There was contact, but as someone has pointed out there is contact on every play. I think you could have called it either way and don't have an issue with anyone thinking it was a foul, but it was not such an obvious miss that I would break out conspiracy theories.
Do u feel lebron would have gotten the call?
No conspiracy theory, if they dind't call it in that situation againt Durant, I have no reason to believe they would have called it on LeBron.

I have grown up a Knicks fan and hates Reggie getting bs calls and Michael getting superstar calls. IMO they are a reality and it makes almost impossibly talented athletes even more difficult to stop.
Stars are always going to get calls, that is part of the game, but it works both ways as well. Durant gets calls that someone like Bosh would not get. Let me ask you a question. Do you think that Battier's blocking call against Durant was a charge? If that was anyone else but Durant with 5 fouls would that call been the same? Durant got that call b/c of who he is, and the fact they were not going to foul him out of the game. As I said, the bad calls in that one went both ways, they just were not all one sided. I didn't like the way the game was called, I thought there were too many mistakes by the officials, but I also saw the mistakes on both sides.
