Brady and deflategate

Despite settlement talks rumors this morning strongly lean towards sticking with the original suspension of four games. The NFL seems to believe that they'll win in court.

Fits with his whining from past years though.

oops!

"Stephen A. Smith said on ESPN’s “First Take” Tuesday morning that a source told him Roger Goodell will not reduce or overturn Brady’s suspension. Perhaps more shocking, Smith cited a separate source who told him Brady actually destroyed his own personal cell phone rather than just refusing to turn it over."
IF this is true, I hope he gets more thrown at him if he goes to court. Got to be something in his contract for behavior detrimental to the league or some such.

The Pats (Billicheck, GM, and Owner) as an organization got off way to light when viewed in the context of constantly breaking or twisting the intent of the rules for 15+ years.

Look at the penalty Redskins and Cowboys got for redoing contracts during no cap year

Payton and GM over Bounty gate

Peterson for spanking his kid

goes on and on

Now what did Pats get for :
1- taping Rams practices before Superbowl
2- stealing signals of other teams
3- Billicheck screwing around with injury reports
4- now deflating balls.

Quite a history for a team that claims to be a Dynasty

WOW

Did Kraft ever go off on Goodell, "There comes a time you have to kick the lawyers out of the room".

Then he follows up with, "Only a Lawyer would do something like that"

LOL, This is getting good

Its a real shame that the NFL wouldn't be able to enforce their own rules without the courts stepping in. This is ridiculous.

That's the whole problem, the NFL aren't enforcing their own rules, they are summarily making them up as they go on! Whether you like the Pats or hate them, this was a witch hunt by the league office on the Patriots and specifically Brady from the jump. The power hungry goon in the commissioner's seat decided he wanted to make an example (yet again) of someone. Even if you completely accept the fact that Brady KNEW the balls were inflated, the fine for mishandling equipment is $25,000. The Pats STILL lost a 1st, a 4th, and $1,000,000. If I were Kraft, I'd sue the piss out of the league office.
