Seatlle Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch

What will the Seahawks do with Marshawn Lynch??? It sounds very likely that Free Agent RBs Ray Rice and Matt Forte are going to be Franchise Tagged. Rumors also suggest that Raiders free-agent RB Michael Bush might also get the Franchise Tag.



This would leave The Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch the best Free Agent RB that hasn't been Franchised Tagged yet. It would be nice to see Lynch stay on with the Seahawks as he has been running well nn that system and the O line improved to the point of being one of the teams strong points.

I think I read it on rotoworld. Just speculation like everything else this time of the year.

Personally, I'd rather they invest in Marshawn and not get Flynn.

Is it the Wx, the Skittles, or is it just that Marshawn Lynch don't take kindly to being wrestled to the ground?

Lynch will turn 27 before the season starts, and really only has three years of NFL wear-and-tear.
A franchise tag may just tick Marshawn off.
I think in his case, he is a proven commodity and a tag would just be a slap in the face.

A nice 3 or 4 year deal with juicy incentives looks like a respectful course of action for ownership at this juncture.

I think Seattle has to give him a 2-3 year contract. He ran well last year behind that o-line.

business-wise how do you not tag him? the way rb's go this day and age he probably has one or two productive years left. tag him, let somebody else overpay when he's 30... or he gets hurt before that
