I think it is perhaps understandable that Obama made the remark he did about use of chemical weapons being a red line but I think it has led to a very dangerous situation. If we are construed as being in the proxie war on the side of the Rebels then the removal of Assad is a necessary component of any measure of success. What may follow if he falls is very problematic to know and could possibly be disastrous. We plan for our retirement, we plan for our children's college, we plan for disasters, isn't it time for some of us to have a plan in place if we should lose everything and find ourselves on the street?

In today's economy, it's not that far fetched. Sudden job loss happens every day and finding gainful employment in a timely fashion has gotten nearly impossible. ALL debt, from your house to your credit card can be called "Due In Full" at anytime by the lender (read the fine print) and the IRS has the power to take everything you own if it so desires.

Should the unspeakable happen, what's a good contingency plan?

The military is an easy fix if you are young enough and prison offers shelter, food and a measure of safety. A gig with a traveling carnival can also provide room and board. Churches usually offer some sort of assistance but they want your soul as payment.

But what if one were to choose the freedom of homelessness?

Would you choose a big city where the dumpsters are overflowing with food or someplace less populated by the already homeless.

What cities have the best "homeless" programs? Is there a bearable shelter in your area?

I hear of a town in Colorado that even has a special police unit to protect the homeless and provide aid, but doesn't it get really cold in Co.? Does climate REALLY matter that much? Washington D.C. has the highest homeless population per capita in the U.S. and it gets awfully cold there too.

I've been homeless twice in my life. Once was planned and I had a little green in my pocket and transportation so I never really felt trapped. The other time was sudden and shocking but thanks to good friends and a good lawyer it only lasted 5 days and I was able to resume my previous life. Pretty scary feeling, though.

It is my understanding for example that it is very unlikely that I would see an ad for a yacht based on my financial profile. Does this kind of data mining bother you?
